Diana Peri
Diana is a principal advisor working with beginning principals in the Auckland region.
Diana has worked in senior leadership roles in primary schools for two decades. Most recently she was Principal of Oranga School for 12 years. Prior to that she was a leadership and management advisor with Team Solutions, working across the Auckland region to support senior and middle leaders to increase their leadership capacity and impact.
Diana has a special interest in sustaining and/or increasing a broad range of outcomes for school communities through growing leadership capacity in school leaders using collaborative inquiry and targeted, tailored support that increases culturally responsive student and teacher agency. Her support for recognising and building leadership in others is underpinned by a solutions-focused approach, Open to Learning Inquiry, and/or coaching conversations and is enhanced by her accreditation as a coach with Growth Coaching International.
Diana has had a leadership role in the Te Iti Kahurangi Kāhui Ako, focussing on stewardship and assessment literacy. She holds a Masters degree in Administration and Leadership (with distinction).
When relaxing, Diana enjoys walking, music (listening and playing), and travel. Her four young grandchildren live in New Zealand, Brisbane and San Francisco.
