Simon Green is a Principal Advisor, working with beginning principals across the Canterbury and Otago regions.
Simon has joined the Evaluation Associates | Te Huinga Kākākura Mātauranga team with over 25 years of experience in kura across the wider Canterbury region - both urban and rural. Most recently, Simon had the privilege of leading Amberley School as tumuaki for the past six years. Before that, he led North Loburn School for eight years. He has mentored many beginning principals and was part of the leadership team of the Puketeraki Kahui Ako.
Simon has strength in strategic planning, distributive leadership and school governance. He is also the Presiding Member at Rangiora High School. Simon strongly advocates strengthening whānau and wider community connections in kura and implementing cultural narratives into their local curriculum. Simon thrives on establishing and maintaining connections in education.
He lives in Rangiora with his wife, Rebecca, and has three children. Simon has spent all his life in North Canterbury and run his spare time he enjoys tramping, mountain biking as well as playing and coaching hockey.
