Nadine Sorrensen
Nadine is an experienced consultant based in the Auckland office. She works with schools in the following areas:
assessment for learning
teaching as inquiry
data analysis
e-asTTle
Practice Analysis Conversations
acceleration of learning
literacy.
Prior to joining the Evaluation Associates | Te Huinga Kākākura Mātauranga team in 2017 Nadine worked as a literacy facilitator at the University of Auckland for eight years.
Nadine works collaboratively with teachers and leaders to design and deliver professional learning and development programmes through a focus on developing cycles of inquiry that build evaluative capability at all system levels. She has a deep knowledge of the processes and learning necessary to support priority learners.
Nadine is interested in strengthening student agency and self-regulation through the use of student voice, scaffolding and the gradual release of responsibility model. Her strength is in literacy, where she supports teachers and challenges school leaders to design a school curriculum that best meets the needs of diverse students.
In her spare time Nadine enjoys watching house renovation programmes, travel and watching movies.
