Exploring Professional Growth Cycles in your setting: A workshop for leaders

Your chance to gain clarity about Professional Growth Cycles (PGCs) and how they can work effectively in your school, kura, centre.

This workshop is a chance for professional leaders to engage deeply with this topic, to network with other leaders and to reflect on how they are supporting their teachers to grow whilst meeting professional requirements.

Professional leaders are experiencing a shift from an appraisal model to considering what a professional growth cycle will mean for their staff/colleagues. This workshop is designed to support and challenge thinking, to provide clarity of requirements, and to offer professional leaders an opportunity to deepen their understanding of PGCs in their own setting.

Learning outcomes

  • clarify what we know, want to know and need to know about PGCs

  • determine what makes a successful growth cycle in our setting

  • time to think and plan with expert support.

What to expect

This full-day workshop is a must for any leader who is interested in clarifying, consolidating or checking-in about Professional Growth Cycles and how these can work effectively for their setting. Leaders will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of PGC requirements for teachers, time to network and discuss PGCs in a supportive, professional group with an expert facilitator. Part of the workshop is dedicated to allowing leaders the opportunity to think, plan and collaborate on what this means for their school/kura/centre.
