Pam Fleck

Principal Advisor

Pam is a principal advisor to schools in the Southland region. She works primarily with beginning principals, and other principals when required.

Recently retired as a principal, Pam has mentored beginning principals for a number of years and has informally supported Southland principals for some time.

She has achieved trainer status in Open to Learning leadership.

Her current role involves working with principals to support leadership and includes:

  • Staffing issues including competency.

  • Board /principal relationships.

  • Community relationships.

  • Student management.

  • Finance and property.

  • Conflict resolution.

  • Accessing specialist support.

  • Supporting principals to develop robust appraisal goals.

  • A listening ear.

Pam lives at Thornbury, just a few kilometres from Riverton, with her husband Ray on a lifestyle block where growing most of their food is a hobby. They have four adult children and ten grandchildren. Pam’s interests include family, gardening, reading and renovating an old villa.
