Based in our Wellington office, Julia works with schools in the following areas:
coaching and mentoring leaders and teachers
effective classroom learning strategies underpinned by research
supporting senior and middle leaders to lead learning by building strong understandings of formative assessment practice
connecting appraisal with teaching and learning.
Julia works with primary and secondary schools in the areas of leadership and assessment. Her expertise comes from extensive senior leadership experience in a number of New Zealand schools and, since 2003, her work as an educational facilitator in the areas of leadership, curriculum and assessment in NZ and overseas.
She has extensive knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning across the curriculum and is skilled in sharing practical formative assessment strategies with teachers to improve student engagement and achievement.
Her knowledge and flexibility ensure that she is skilful at using a variety of approaches to support leaders to deal with the complex issues they face in schools.
Julia has recently moved to Wellington. She loves reading, cooking and making her own jewellery.
