Diana Wilkes
Diana is a dynamic lifelong learner who leads with her moral compass. She is passionate about innovation in education and empowering leaders, educators and learners with future focused approaches.
Diana works out of our Auckland office, and can assist schools in the following areas:
facilitating assessment for learning
designing local curriculum in alignment with the New Zealand Curriculum
amplifying collaborative teaching and learning pedagogies, practices and approaches for flexible
Learning Spaces
leading learning with digital technologies and STEAM
leading change and change management
mentoring and coaching school leaders and leadership teams
iterative teacher inquiry, including collaborative approaches
developing cohesive teacher and principal professional growth cycles (appraisal) including learning-focused, Practice Analysis Conversations and observations
engaging adult learners – supporting leaders to facilitate highly effective PLD with and for their teams.
The design and implementation of Diana’s work is responsive to each school and grounded in best practice that is connected to current research.
Diana holds a Masters Degree in Educational Technology, a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Practice (Digital and Collaborative Learning) and she is an accredited coach. Diana is an experienced educator, school leader and facilitator. Her recent roles have included:
establishing Principal in a full primary in Auckland – 2019
moderator on the MOE PLD Application Panel – Auckland
assistant Regional Team Leader with the MOE Learning with Digital Technologies PLD programme – Northern region
Educational Advisor , Middle East Region – providing support for leaders and teachers to lift achievement and improve practice during nation-wide educational reform.
Outside of work, Diana enjoys riding her motorcycle, going snorkelling, travelling internationally, taking walks and spending time with her husband and their three feline fur babies.
